I'm curious will you keep the whispy ends or trim them down?

I actually really like the way the whispy ends look on all but the first set. I think it might be because the flow of the texture of the other sets vs the straight lines of the first. So I completely agree with your plans! They're all very lovely can't wait to see them installed =)

Love that you're experimenting! The Icelandic set is just stunning. The colours are incredible and I really love the texture. They look delicate in the best of ways.

The icelandic is my favorite, although the green pea pods are a close second. Thanks for sharing this! Interesting to see the different fibers.

You might want to think about the size of the photos when you post them. I'm on just a laptop and can only see part of these photos at a time. I think the second photo is the best. Also, black is notoriously hard to photograph so don't get discouraged at first. Just keep trying different lighting situations to get it down. Also, if you're looking for good lighting I suggest OTT light bulbs. They are awesome.

Oh, and if you make notes about the different kinds of wool I'd love to see you post a tutorial here to educate us!

Nice work, the Icelandic set in particular is stunning, I love the texture of those particular dreads. The dye jobs are pretty impressive too, I'm going to be experimenting with dyeing wool soon and hope my own results will be as impressive

Other thoughts: I like the wispy ends. Never was much a fan of super blunt ends on any dreads. As far as photos, black and purples will give you trouble no matter how nice your camera is. Takes some serious know-how and messing around. I would also love to see tutorials and/or full reviews on different fibers eventually!

Lovely! The icelandic are my favourites. Re: wispy ends, it's more down to personal preference, I tear my wool, not cut it to create a nice tape but I leave the wispy bits, just cos I like them, in my days of selling I'd cut the more wispy wild ones off, especially from the palm rolled ones, not so much machined ones.
