Thought I'd show off my tattoos so far
First my arm, this still needs filling in and shading in the background gaps and outside edges
My mermaid, this ones finished but I might add more things too it, maybe a seahorse, some jellyfish, but I haven't decided yet
And just some Flyleaf lyrics on my arm, it looks a bit dodgey in this picture though 'Arise and be all that you dreamed'
I also have a stupid tiger shark on my ankle I got done on holiday lol

Would LOVE to see some jelly fish by that mermaid. Also, respect on the day of the dead skull.

Thank you I think jellyfish done with only brightly coloured lines and white lines would look pretty cool

All your ink is beautiful but my favorite has to be the mermaid! Hopefully you post pix when/if you do add more!

I approve of mermaids with jellyfish friends! This was taken when it was still fresh so faded a bit now, but I wanted to show the jellies with no hard lines and some white highlighting. White needs to be touched up every few years but the effect is so worth it!

I love that! That's the kind of thing I was thinking of for the jellyfish, but I'd want mine in purples and pinks I reckon

I am seriously considering getting a tattoo soon by Russel Van Schaick; he does water color tattoos in Orlando FL. Anyways, what kinds of questions should I ask? Any other pre-tattoo tips I should consider? I've never done this... so I'm kind of lost.

Tattoos are all about trust. Make sure you are VERY clear about what you want. If you are even a little iffy about something, speak up. You only have one chance.

Check out the artist's portfolio for fresh and healed tattoos - googling helps with that too. Ask about their sanitary practices or take a trip to the shop beforehand - should use new, packaged needles, new ink and have a definitive method of setting up. Ask pricing - some do hourly, some do by the piece. If you have pictures of your idea that helps but artists often won't recreate anything exactly and want to put their own touches. Ask about the touch up policy - even the best tattoo can need a little touch up after healing, it's normal and most artists will do it for free. When you go for the actual session, eat beforehand, bring a snack and a sugary drink like red bull for mid session in case you need the boost in blood sugar! I like to chew gum, gives me something to concentrate on. Hope this helps!
