Thanks so much my lovelies :-)
I'm happy to be crafting again full stop. I always forget how much happier I am when doing it.
Today I have a lot of COOKING to do rather than crafting. We have a friend who is staying with us as he is of no fixed abode currently...he's like a surrogate son to me and Dan because he lost his Mum at 15 and the rest of his family are twats (sorry but they are). Anyway, it's his 21st today! He's had to go to work but we are having a little gathering today and I'm cooking a cake and a Jamaican Red Bean Stew. We have a bit of a theme going as the cake is Jamaican Ginger Cake.

Here's the furniture we've been working on. On the left: a very old dresser originally owned by my Uncle. This one is mine. In the middle is a TV stand I designed and my fiance built. The chiffarobe on the right we found on the street and re-did together. Woot!

Ooooo Love that chiffarobe, I think I would store KK or craft stuff in that if it were mine.

Haha I love how so many of us see a piece of furniture and say to ourselves "ooh I could store hair in that/I could use that to make dreads on" hahaha and yes that gif relates

Love that gif Although I personally don't like my hair too big when I have dreads in. I'm currently experimenting with wool to see just how thin I can make some dreads; I'm working on two sets where I have split the length into 16, and am looking forward to seeing how those look when finished (photos to follow when this eventually happens; procrastination is something I am very good at). I only wish I could have an item of furniture to store dreadmaking equipment in, but with mine being a tiny box bedroom that'd be impossible. All my roving is currently in a bin bag stuffed under my bed, will have to look into getting plastic boxes or something.

Ha its so true, if only we could all live in a crafty community full of state of the art craft studios and stuff. Now will just need a billionaire to fund it and we will have all of the storage for all of the hairy things! Yeah I'm usually not an overly big hair person, though I think it looks really cute. However the dread-wig I have on in my profile pic definitely makes me feel like that. How much room do you have under your bed? Would be cool if you could get a short but wide roller box thingy. I have a couple in my cupboard that I store finished products in, its good because I can put long sets of dreads in there without squishing them. I suppose it might still be to tall to fit in the gaps under a lot of beds even though its on 6 1/2ish inches

Not got a lot of room at the moment, still got boxes and bags of clothes under there from when I moved in which I still haven't sorted out. I do have two small zip suitcases that might be good actually, just a matter of digging them out, they should be an ideal size. Thanks for the box idea though

Hello ladies. I was wondering if I could ask some advice about scalps. I've always had trouble with my scalp, I get adult cradle cap and great lumps on my scalp. I've used everything under the sun: lush hair doctor, snake oil, lush scalp remedy, vosanne shampoo, t gel shampoo, heads and shoulders etc. recently my scalp is on fire and it is so itchy. Anyone got any advice on how to deal with really itchy scalp. I'm aware it may be a side affect of all the medication I'm taking at the moment but can't really stop taking it. What do you recommend.

Have you asked your Dr Sally? I'm sure you probably have. My partner gets terrible dandruff, and has tried everything under the sun too. Dr recently gave him some medicated stuff to massage in three times a week. It worked for a while but has stopped now.
The only thing I can think of suggesting that you've not tried, is going sulphate free? Its fantastic for hair dye too.
